BLANCHARD, LA - Donald Eugene Miner Sr. passed away on December 15, 2018. Graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Forest Park West Cemetery, with Rev. McKee Williams Officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall St. from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.
Don was born on May 7, 1954 in Bossier City, LA to the late Wayne and Mable Miner. He loved in a very quiet way and had a way of making everyone laugh that walked into the room. He worked in the funeral business for over twenty years and was very compassionate to the families he dealt with on a daily basis. He had a strong love for his wife and family. He also had a love for his dog, Logan, and would occasionally stop at Sonic to buy him an ice cream cone. Don was loved by many, he will be greatly missed!
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wayne A. Miner Jr., and sister, Connie Marie Miner. Don is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Randolph Miner; sons, Donald E. Miner Jr., Travis Miner, Josh Miner, and Zach Polk; daughter, April Wesson; sister, Trinda Jo Anna Miner Moore; brothers, David Steven Miner and Roger Dennis Miner; special niece, Mary Ricks; six grandchildren, Collin, Landon and Nolan Wesson, Aiden, Bubba, and Abbie Jo Polk, and a host of other family and friends.
Honoring Don as pallbearers will be Donald E. Miner Jr., Travis Miner, Josh Miner, Zack Polk, Nathan Wesson, and Jerry Randolph. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Roger Dennis Miner.
