Donald W. Carson

A graveside service for Donald W. Carson, 84, will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Jerry Waren. Don was born on December 20, 1936 to Newt and Dorothy Carson in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 in Shreveport. Don was a construction superintendent for over 50 years. He loved country music. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and "friend" to everyone that had the pleasure to have known him. Don is preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Jeff Carson. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Wanda Joyce Carson; two children, Don Carson and wife, Sissy and daughter, Teresa Harlan Acklen and husband, Charlie; three grandsons, DeWayne and Nathan Carson and Robby Harlan; three great-grandsons, and two great-granddaughters. The family would like to thank the Carpenter House and St. Joseph Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion given to Don.
