Dolores Ann Page, affectionately known as “Grandma Dee Dee,” passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the age of 89. She was surrounded by her devoted facility family at Avir of Jefferson, formerly Magnolia Place, in Jefferson, Texas—a place she called home and where she was deeply cherished.
Born on April 20, 1936, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Dolores was the beloved daughter of Kenneth and Oma Page. Her life was a tapestry woven with kindness, laughter, and a deep love for those around her.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents; her dear sister, Janice Poleman; and her treasured friend, Bernice Winters. Though she has departed this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Among them are Angie Lowry and her family, who held a special place in Dolores’s heart, and her extended family at Avir, who embraced her as one of their own.
Dolores was a beacon of joy and warmth. She adored dogs, found delight in playing bingo, and treasured photographs of her extended family, who lovingly gave her the nickname “Grandma Dee Dee.” Her eyes would light up at the sight of a party, and she never turned down a good, ice-cold Coke. Her laughter, her stories, and her gentle spirit will be remembered with fondness and gratitude.
A graveside service to celebrate Dolores’s life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana. Prior to the service, visitation will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St. in Shreveport.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Chambers Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Dolores’s final days.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Dolores Ann Page will remain forever in our hearts—a woman whose life was a gift, and whose memory will be a blessing.
