Dolores Lucille Burton

Funeral services honoring the life of Dolores Lucille Burton will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following the service in Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dolores Lucille Burton was born December 16, 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska to Andrew James Schwartz IV and Lucille Gray Schwartz and passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dolores loved to do genealogy. She was very proud of her military family and was honored to be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Andrew James Schwartz V and his wife, Gene; brother-in-law, Vermon Lee Jones; granddaughter, Nevada Sue Cline; and sons-in-law, Joseph Patrick Flynn, Sr. and Kenneth Wayne Keller.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted children, Lucille Marie Keller, Herman “Buddy” Burton and wife, Nita, Bobbie Gene McCoy and husband, John, Robert “Robbie” Burton and wife, Brenda, Patrick Alan Burton and wife, Unona, and Laura Howard and husband, Les; sister, Marianne Jones; brother, James Oliver Schwartz and wife, Kathleen “Katie”; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Honoring Dolores as pallbearers will be Joseph “Kyle” Rayon, John “Jack” Flynn, Charles “Drew” Wilcox, Matthew Elijah Brown, Joshua “Josh” McCoy, Javier “JJ” Rodriguez.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Duchess and James, 24 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
