Diane Owens

Diane Owens died September 6, 2023, in Denton, Texas after losing her long battle with cancer.

Diane was born on May 28,1947 to Henry Thomas Cook Jr. and Dora Lee (Weaver) Cook.  Diane graduated from Stonewall High School. She attended Beauty School and became a Cosmetologist / Hairdresser, eventually owning her own Beauty Shop in Plano, Texas.  Diane loved cooking, dancing, traveling, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Diane is survived by her son, Justin Owens and daughter-in-law, Sonja Owens; grandchildren, Madison Wooldridge, Morgan Owens, and Garrett Jones; great-grandson, Grayson Wooldridge; sister, JoAnn Anderson; nephew, Bryant Griffin, and niece, Jodie Griffin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Thomas Cook Jr. and Dora Lee (Weaver) Cook; and two infant siblings.

A funeral is planned for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, in the Rose-Neath Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Dr. Paul Weaver. There will be an additional Memorial Service (in the DFW area) for all her Texas friends and family at a time to be determined.
