A memorial service for Diana Mae Dupin Thibodeaux, 82, will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Brother Marty Wright.

Diana was born on August 23, 1939 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Cleveland and Georgia Dupin and passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana. After graduating from C. E. Byrd High School, she attended Centenary College of Louisiana where she received her bachelor's degree. She then went to Northwestern State University School of Nursing for 4 years, then married Earnest C. Welch and began her career as an EEG Technician at Dr. Charles Armstead's office. Throughout her life she enjoyed dancing, reading, Cajun cuisine. In her later years, she began to love cooking, playing bingo, going to the casino and spending time with family. She was a very spontaneous, yet proud person and always lived her life to the fullest. Her faith was strong in God and her beliefs that were instilled throughout her lifetime was portrayed to those around her. Her life was her family. She always enjoyed her independence, and that is why she chose to never remarry. In her earlier years, she enjoyed trips with her family to Galveston and Lake Charles. She adored her grandson and took him and his friends to many places including the park, fishing, going to the skating rink and playing putt putt golf. She was attentive and there for her family and they were there for her as well.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Maylynne Welch; grandson, Robert E. Adkison brother, Cleve Dupin, Jr. and aunt, Mae Weems. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melissa Hall and husband, Michael; distant relatives, Linda and Danny Goss and other members of the family.
