Services for Dewey \"Bubba\" Riley will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends prior to service at 9:30. Pastors Murry Hodge and Jerrell Head will preside over the services and Pastor Billy Crosby will sing Beulah Land.
Bubba was born in Rodessa, LA on June 3, 1939 to Dewey and Addie Riley and passed away on June 18, 2018 after a lengthy illness.
Bubba was a Christian and was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and loved his country. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He retired from General Motors and worked in skilled trades for over 30 years. Bubba loved to weld and took great pride in his work. He loved classic cars and always prided himself in keeping his 1956 Victoria Ford all these years.
He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Brumley Riley; two sons, Gary Riley, Sr. and Darrell R. Riley; four grandchildren, Gary Riley, Jr., Nacole Riley, Alexis Riley Sisson and Nathaniel Cole Riley; and five great-grandchildren, Alyssa Riley, Zoie Riley, Madison Riley, Chloe Riley, and Peyton Riley.
Honoring Bubba as pallbearers will be Gary Riley, Sr., Gary Riley, Jr., Cole Riley, Chester Remedes, Bruce Hardcastle, and Andy Head.
We would like to thank the staff at Willis Knighton ICU and the staff on 4th floor West for their excellent care. The family wishes to thank the wonderful pastors at our church and Bruce Hardcastle\'s Sunday School class. The family also wishes to thank all the many friends who have prayed for us during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you contribute to the Summer Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or Gideons International.
