A virtual memorial service honoring the life of Dennis Boyd Holland will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021. Officiating the service will be Elder Miles Davis of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Dennis Boyd Holland was born February 14, 1956 to Francis and Betty Holland in Bastrop, Louisiana and grew up in Hamburg, Arkansas. He passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana from complications due to his 2019 diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis.
Dennis graduated from Hamburg High School in 1974 and married the love of his life, Marie Holland, on June 9, 1978. He worked for many years as a trucker and owner operator. He enjoyed fishing, driving trucks and going for rides on his motorcycle. Dennis had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around, often pulling pranks on his family members. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 10, 1982 and served Jehovah and Christ Jesus loyally until his time of resurrection.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; sons, David Henry and Jimmy Lloyd Henry; brother, David Holland; and a host of aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 43 years, Marie Holland; daughter, Penny Fry and husband, Sean; son, Jason Taylor and wife, Vonn; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
