Dencen Lee Hall, Sr.

Logansport - Dencen Lee Hall, Sr., 93, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 where he was reunited with those who awaited his arrival and where he will await his loving family. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport with Brother Wayne Painter officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Spring Cemetery in Logansport, LA. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will include Jack Averett, Ted Booker, James Ray Stevenson, John Stiles, Buddy Hall, Danny Hall, Ricky Cash, Terry Cash, Josh McClain, Jacob McClain, Travis Cash, Zack Cheatwood, and Kaleb McClain. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the Cool Spring Cemetery fund. Dencen was born September 9, 1927 in Logansport to the late Unie Ida Wiggins and John Quitman Hall. He attended Logansport High School and graduated from the American School. He proudly served in the United States Army from September 1950 - August 1952. Stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict, Dencen served as a Corporal in the Artillery Battalion. On September 11, 1953, he married the love of his life, Faye Boyd. He and Faye made their home in Logansport where they have enjoyed raising their family for over 67 years together. After returning from military service, Dencen worked at Averett Auto Supply, the United States Postal Service, RiteCare, and then retired from SONAT. After retiring from SONAT, he selflessly served families in their time of need with Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Dencen was a proud and dedicated member of Cool Spring Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Lion's Club and the American Legion Post. Dencen always enjoyed singing, mowing, gardening, farming, bailing hay, and helping others in any way that he could. Above all, he was proud to be a husband, a daddy, and a Paw. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. They will always remember going with him to check on the cows and him telling them to "Gimme Some Nose". He was known to many as Paw. Dencen was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lloyd, Leslie, Dawson, and Alton; grandson, Bradley Hall Wiggins; and great-grandchildren, Baby Hall and Baby Farmer. Survivors: Loving wife of 67 years, Faye Boyd Hall; son, Dencen "Lee" Hall, Jr. and wife Donna; daughters, Susan Hall and Beth Walker and husband James; grandchildren, Jessica Benison and husband Brooks, Jed Smith and wife Shasta, Miranda Farmer and husband Jeremy, Ami Wiggins, Ali Fields and husband Paden, Victoria Simmons and husband Jake, Cody Walker and wife Jamie, Trey Wilson, Ty Wilson and wife Stephanie, Dyllan Hall and wife Amanda, Mallory Rogers and husband Shaun; great-grandchildren, Carlton, Brittany, Destini, Mara Lee, Dawson, Marshall, Ethan, Grayson, Kutter, Brad, Kallan, Karter, Emma, Eli, Abi, Kevin, Aiden, Mac, Ezra, Lincoln, Layne, Eden, and Ian; sisters, Nancy Boyd and Cora Wilburn; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.
