Funeral services for Delmar Dale Kracman, 87, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kenny Joyner from Willow Point Baptist Church. Delmar was born on January 12, 1934 in Linwood, Nebraska to Jaroslav and Marie Kracman and passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. While serving our country in the United States Navy, Delmar met the love of his life. They were married and made their home in Shreveport, Louisiana, where they raised four beautiful children. Dale was a master diesel mechanic retiring from Ryder Truck Rental after 25 years. After working for Shreveport Ford Tractor, he ran his own business maintaining farm equipment for individual customers until Alzheimer's disease forced his final retirement. A huge NASCAR fan for several years, he and his son, Kevin, enjoyed building and racing stock cars at local race tracks. (#11) Delmar is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Emilee Gail McMillian. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Patsy Kracman; daughter, Rebecca McMillian and husband, Audie; sons, Kevin Kracman and wife, Karen, Michael Kracman and Curtis Kracman; sister, Elaine Walla; grandchildren, Brandi Kracman, Jeremy McMillian, Christopher Kracman, Tabitha McMillian, Julee McMillian, Nathan Kracman, Robin Kracman, Aaron Kracman, Kacie Clanton and Madison Kracman and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Honoring Delmar as pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons. The family would like to express special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice for their care and compassion given to Delmar. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice Foundation, 17732 Highland Road, Suite G, Box 241, Baton Rouge, LA 70810 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
