Debra Lynn Cornett

Debra Lynn Cornett was born October 8, 1956 in Eureka, California to Edmond Earl Cornett and Louella Mae Cornett and passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her home in Vivian, Louisiana.

Debra was a life-long resident of Vivian, Louisiana. She worked in the food service industry her entire career and was a caregiver to her family members for many years. Debra was a great friend who would give you the shirt off her back. She will be missed by all that loved her.

Debra is preceded in death by her grandparents, Hermon Elton Meadows and Margie Marie Meadows; parents; brothers, Earl Don Cornett and Steven Elton Cornett; and niece, Sue Ella Cornett.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Christi Gillespie; granddaughter, Kamryn Paige Gillespie; and sisters, Pamela Cornett, Jody Flagg, Nancy Turner, and Karla Cornett.

A graveside service honoring the life of Debra Cornett will be held at a later date.
