Deborah Sue Ott

A funeral service honoring the life of Deborah Sue Ott, 65, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Pleasant Hill United Pentecostal Church in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Johnathan McManus and Reverend Charles Duhon. Deborah was born to Thomas Franklin Ott and Tulsa Miller Ott on October 13, 1956 in Shreveport, Louisiana and entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 17, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Deborah was a resident of Mansfield, Louisiana in the most recent years of her life, but resided in many places in DeSoto and Sabine Parish during her lifetime. One of her most notable accomplishments in life was the long-term care and company of her mother, Tulsa, as her health started to decline before she passed in 2007. She was a very devoted and compassionate daughter who earned a gem in a crown in heaven for her loving care of her mother. While Deborah never married or had children of her own, she loved babies and helped raise many nieces and nephews and loved them as if they were her own. She loved to socialize, talk, and laugh with anyone she met. Deborah enjoyed spending her time watching cooking shows, crafting, solving puzzles and singing. A devout Christian woman, she was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Pentecostal Church for many years of her life and served Christ in every aspect of her life. She led many to follow Christ and if you ever needed a prayer, all you had to do was ask. Deborah Sue Ott was a special soul who touched many lives and will be dearly missed. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Melton Ott, Robert Ott, T.J. Ott and baby Herbert Daniel, and her sisters Judy Hippler and Lillie Youngblood. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Lucille Rivers, James Franklin Ott and wife, Eva, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
