A graveside service for David Michael Siegel, 58, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Agudath Achim Cemetery, at the corner of Walnut and Yale, Shreveport, Louisiana.  Officiating the service will be Rabbi Dr. Jana L. DeBenedetti.

David Siegel was born November 30, 1965 to Burton and Patricia Siegel in Waco, Texas and passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

David spent his entire life in the Shreveport/Bossier community.  Graduating from Jesuit/Loyola HS and LSU Shreveport, he spent a career in the food industry as a salesman and manager.  David was an avid collector and gamer in his later years after becoming disabled.  He had a tremendous community of online friends, and with technology touched many more lives than he could have done in previous generations. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, aunts Lorraine Kocmich and Margorie Kocmich and uncles Howard, Iris and Alfred Legum. His memory is survived by his brother, Daniel Joseph Siegel; uncle Edward Kocmich III; cousins Jeff, Kim and Ed Kocmich and Stephen, Richard, Steven and Adina Legum and several foster siblings, Vany, Dawn and April Herrera and The Chadwicks.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3100 Samford Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana, 71103.
