Graveside services for David Henry Ingland, 88, will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Keith Tarkington. A visitation will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport.
David cherished his wife, children, their spouses and their children, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He served four years in the Navy and was a member of the American Legion. He attended Sidney High School in Ohio, Ohio Mechanics Institute and earned a B.S. degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He worked at Bell Telephone Labs, AT&T, and retired from Lucent Technologies as a Senior Engineer. He loved to hunt, fish, swim, roller blade, competitively run, and was a glider pilot. He also enjoyed cross-country motorcycle trips with his wife, Barbara. He attended Summer Grove Baptist Church and was a Mason.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Ingland; and daughter, Lisa Ingland. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Julie Woodruff and husband, Jim Woodruff; son, Mark Ingland and wife, Becky Ingland; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Honoring David as pallbearers will be Jason Woodruff, John David Woodruff, Jim Woodruff, Casey Hannigan, Aiden Woodruff, and Chad Lockwood. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Tripp Ratley.
The family would like to express special thanks to David's caregiver, Fleta Lockwood, for all the wonderful care, support, and love given to him during his last years.
