David was born October 2, 1956 in Tyler, Texas to Billy Joe Heath and Dorothy Heath and passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 peacefully at home. For over 27 years, David fought numerous cancers, surgeries and procedures, a bone marrow transplant and heart and kidney transplant. David was a tremendous fighter, and he finally won the battle and is wonderfully made whole in the presence of his LORD. David never met a stranger and used his illnesses as a chance to tell others about Jesus, whether in an elevator or doctor's waiting room. David was a graduate of Huntington High School in Shreveport, Louisiana, and attended college at Bossier Parish Community College in Bossier City, Louisiana Tech University, in Ruston, Louisiana and Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. David was married to Judy, the love of his life for over 41 years. David was the former owner of DDH Construction Company of Shreveport, PADCON Construction Company of Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia, DAVID'S Rentals and Sales of Bossier City, Louisiana and DAVID'S Special Events and Sales of Bossier City, Louisiana. David loved to fly his private airplane and running heavy equipment and tractors. David and wife Judy raised black angus cows and he really loved his cows, especially the calves. David is preceded in death by his father, BJ Heath and his beloved canine "son" Jake. He is survived by his wife, Judy Heath; daughter, Jennifer Fitzgerald and husband, Kenny; mother, Dorothy Heath; grandchildren, Chelci FitzDanos and husband, Jacob, Lindsey Pitre and husband, AJ, Samantha Fitzgerald and fiancée, Chris Lang and Piper Fitzgerald; brother, Jeff Heath; sister, Laura Balko and his special little chihuahua dog, Belle. Honoring David as pallbearers will be Jacob FitzDanos, Josh Fluger, Dan Keaseler, Chris Lang, David Phagan and AJ Pitre. The family wishes to acknowledge a special thank you to Dr. Sanjay Shah for his excellent care of David for many years, Willis-Knighton Hospice Care and their nurses Evelyn and Kathy, The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minessota and the NWLA Nephrology Doctors and nurse Lori.
