A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd., Keithville, Louisiana at 12:30 p.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jimmy Hudgens.
David was born on December 29, 1970 in Shreveport, Louisiana to William and Charlsie de Pingré. David was the loving father of Victoria de Pingré and Walker de Pingré, husband of Angelica Cavazos-Boyd, step-father of Zoe Boyd and Zach Boyd, and brother of Amanda de Pingré Lambert, Amy de Pingré Massey, Scott Massey, Paul de Pingré, and Gina Gobble de Pingré. He will always be known as the radiant, caring man who gave love to those around him selflessly and will be remembered by so many of us as a ray of sunshine.
David proudly served his country as a United States Marine, being an activated veteran of Desert Storm. David was an entrepreneur, pilot, and flight instructor. He studied at Louisiana State University and Louisiana Tech University (Class of 1993), where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Aviation, as well as Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Class of 1994), where he received his Master’s Degree in Professional Aviation. David was also an active brother in Phi Delta Theta and Warrior Week.
David was an avid entrepreneur, but he always took time for his loved ones and personal adventures, whether it be sharing a meal, relaxing at a beach in Mexico, playing blackjack in Vegas casinos, or simply enjoying family time at home. David saw the world, having travelled to Japan, France, Italy, Spain, The Czech Republic, Jamaica, The Bahamas, The Philippines, Mexico, and many other beautiful places.
David was an amazing father, husband, brother, uncle, and best friend. He is now at peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as well as his beloved parents.
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” John 11:25-26
