A funeral service for David "Red" Arnold Caraway,69, will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022. Burial to follow the service at Sikes Ferry Cemetery, Shongaloo, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Michael Tull. David was born January 31, 1953 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Carl Caraway and Mary Carpenter Caraway and was blessed with a second set of parents, Roy Amold and Addie Vowell, and passed away on March 30, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana. David was a proud United States Marine and didn't mind voicing so. He loved his family and friends and would help anyone in need, no wasn't in his vocabulary. His wife, sons and grandchildren were his life. David's hobby's included traveling and motorcycles, which he absolutely loved his motorcycle. He was funny and always cutting up and making jokes. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word from his big heart. David will be greatly missed by his family, co-workers, friends and all that knew him especially Rebecca Mason Staples who won't know how to act without him and his practical jokes. David is preceded in death by his both sets of parents; brothers Ricky Caraway, Roy Arnold Vowell, Jr.; sisters, Debra K. Vowell, Theressa Vowell, Linda Vowell; great-grandson, David Nicole Caraway. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Barbara Bagwell Caraway; sons, Chris Caraway and partner, Leslea Carter, Aaron Caraway; grandchildren, Jaiden Caraway, Jace Caraway, Mike Caraway, Connie Teutsch, Ricky Vowell, Corey Vowell, Robert Vowell; sisters, Peggy Strahan and husband, Jerry, Sandra Sikes and husband John, Mary Caraway, Cindy Caraway Carter and Barbara Frances Vowell. Honoring David as pallbearers will be Roy Richardson, Shannon Powell, Dean Morgan, Randy Morgan, James "Booger" Morgan, Lewis Lee and Ronald C. DeLuise.
