David Craig Barker

Shreveport, LA - David Craig Barker passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the age of 61. He was a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School and earned his degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University. His career took him many places in Louisiana and Texas. David was known locally as an accomplished bass guitarist and played many years with various bands. David was a member of the Church for The Highlands and loved playing for his church family. Dave\'s quick smile and laughter will truly be missed. David is preceded in death by his wife, Denise Jones Barker. He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Michelle; mother, Rosemary; brother, Michael and his sister, Susan (Paul) Lerchie. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Church for the Highlands, 520 Olive Street, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Dr. John Henson. The family would like to express a very heartfelt thanks to Dr. Henson and all of the church members for their love, prayers, food and support.
