David Acklen

Funeral services for David Acklen will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with John Michael Acklen officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Rose Neath Funeral Home.

David was born December 26, 1947, in Homer, Louisiana and entered into rest July 4, 2026, in Minden, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve.

He is survived by his daughters, Brook Robins of Bossier City and Ami Edwards of Haughton, sister, Kathie Salsbury of Homer, brothers, Ronnie Drew Acklen, John Acklen, and Richard Acklen all of Minden, six grandchildren six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

His family was the most important thing in his life, and he loved them with all his heart.
