Jeff Hoffman will officiate. Interment will follow at Driskill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time, before the service.

Danny was born on September 16, 1952, in Arcadia, Louisiana to Harlton and Flaurabelle Doss Driskill. He entered into rest on September 4, 2025, in Utah. Danny graduated from Arcadia High School. He then went on to Northwestern State University where he played football and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. After college, Danny worked at Minden High School as a teacher and football coach. He retired from the Bienville Parish Sheriff Office as a Deputy and a Warden.

Danny was a man of faith. He loved his God and was a faithful follower of Jesus. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia but also attended Crosspoint Baptist in Bossier City when he was not at home in Arcadia. Danny loved sports, but his favorite was of course football. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and lived his dreams on Driskill Mountain. He was kind to everyone he met, and had a big heart, but tough when needed. Danny was a wonderful grandfather to his 4 grandchildren who knew him as Papaw, but Paw to the youngest. He was very proud of each one of them and loved them with all of his heart. He was a good father, husband, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle.

Danny struggled with several medical issues but is now healthy and in the arms of Jesus. He will be missed greatly by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents Harlton and Flaurabelle Driskill, great grandson Keith Danial Perkins, infant son Daniel Bret Driskill, brother Joe Driskill, and sisters Melba Gowan, and Nelda Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Donna Smith Driskill, children Jennifer and husband Jason Whittington, and Kendra Driskill, stepson Cole Hughes and wife Angelle, brothers Tony Driskill and Omar Driskill, grandchildren River Whittington, Hannah Whittington, Wyatt Hughes and Aubrey Hughes, and by numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Honoring Danny as pallbearers will be Ken Johnson, Keith Johnson, Jeff Nix, Robby Heins, Dennis Branton, David Lester, Shane Antee, and Rusty Poland. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons River Whittington and Wyatt Hughes.
