Daniel Ray Morgan

A graveside service for Daniel Ray Morgan will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery on Stoner Ave. in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother John Newman. 

Daniel was born on December 3, 1949 in Coushatta, Louisiana and met Jesus on Friday morning, November 8, 2024, after a short and hard-fought battle with kidney cancer in Shreveport, Louisiana. 

Daniel, affectionately known as Dannie Ray by friends, and as Dan the Man “Big Daddy” by his disc jockey friends served faithfully as a deacon at First Seventh Day Adventist in Shreveport. He was a Shriner, a Mason, a member at Ford Park Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Martha Moseley Morgan; her son, Fred Lovell Jones and parents, Rufus Morgan and Amelia Morgan Norden. Earl Jackson Jones III survived both Martha and Dannie Ray.
