Daniel Harold Hutchison

A memorial service honoring the life of Daniel Harold Hutchison will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2565 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. in the church. Officiating the service will be Reverend Christopher Yeager.

Daniel Harold Hutchison was born October 24, 1948 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to Daniel Harold Hutchison, Sr. and Carole Stoll Hutchison and passed away peacefully with his wife by his side, Monday, February 28, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dan was the owner and President of Moore's Retread and Tire in Shreveport for 31 years. He was a board member, former president and Hall of Fame inductee to the Louisiana Tire and Automotive Association. He enjoyed being a member of the Chief Executive Organization where he made many lasting friendships. A devout Christian, Dan loved the Lord with all his heart and was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bossier City. He served as a former Church Council President and held many other positions in the church over the years. Dan was also a connoisseur of fine wines and loved to share with his friends and family. He was currently a member of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, an international wine society devoted to the appreciation of the wines of Burgundy. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Green Bay Packers, LSU Tigers and the Milwaukee Bucks. Most of all, Dan enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susan Hutchison Wright; parents-in-law, Chester and Irene Swiggum; sisters-in-law, Carol Swiggum, Kay Swiggum and Joyce Swiggum; and brothers-in-law, Richard Swiggum, and Steve Sochotsky.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Ruth; daughter, Stephanie Burlison and husband, Matt; sons, Danny Hutchison and wife, Jennifer and Ryan Hutchison and wife, Brooke; sisters, Barbara Clements and husband, Bob, Kathy Schroeder, and Kristine Curtis and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Hailey Hutchison Rentz and husband, Will, Emily Hutchison, Noah Hutchison, Jake Burlison, Liam Hutchison, Zachary Burlison and Jude Hutchison; sisters-in-law, Karen Rozell and husband, Boyd, Mary McCann and husband, Bill, Cheryl Sochotsky, Bonnie Strittmater (Craig Drake) and Susan Hundt and husband, Bill; brother-in-law, Wayne Swiggum; and numerous nieces and nephews.
