Funeral service for Daniel Dukes, Jr. of Plaucheville will begin at 4:00pm on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Point of Life Church in PLaucheville. Daniel Dukes, Jr. age 19, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at his home in Plaucheville. Daniel became a Junior Volunteer Fireman with Mansura Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 11 years old until the age of 16 years old. As a Junior, Daniel was actively involved in training and was a determined Junior member to understand the procedures to become an active member. Within his time as a Junior, Daniel involved his life in making his fellow Junior members laugh and keeping them entertained. Daniel\'s motivation and attitude in participation with the junior fire department helped him to grow in socializing with all ages throughout his years of training. Daniel\'s heart was into helping others but Daniel had a strong passion in understanding and learning what the fire service life involved. At the age of 18 years old, he joined Plaucheville Volunteer Fire Department and became a member within the department. Daniel was a young adult that enjoyed hunting but his hobbies also involved fishing, the love of animals, and socializing with family and friends. Daniel will be truly missed by many friends and family members. Daniel is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ethel Lee Aymond & Dorris Joseph Aymond; and his cousin, Hali Rhodes. Those left to cherish him in memory are his mother, Crystal Dukes of Plaucheville,; father, Daniel Dukes Sr of Cleburne, TX; his siblings are, sisters; Cheyenne Dukes and Isabella Mitchell of Plaucheville, brothers, Cameron Mitchell, Aiden Mitchell, and Easton Mitchell of Plaucheville; aunts, Norma (Scott) Persilver of Hessmer, and Brenda (Melvin) Aymond of Mansura; uncles, Gary (Keisha) Aymond of Tunica, Daryl Aymond of Hessmer, Steve (Sharmon) Aymond of Hessmer, and Wayne (Michelle) Aymond of Hessmer. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 3:15pm on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Kilpatrick Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Marksville. Kilpatrick Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
