Cynthia Jean Cooksey

A visitation for Cynthia Jean Cooksey, 59, will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana.

Cynthia was born on September 27, 1964 in Meridian, Mississippi to Jack and Bonnie Duell and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in Shreveport.

She was a resident of Shreveport. Cynthia was an extremely talented seamstress. She was employed at the Shreveport Sewing Center. Her hobbies included doing alterations in her home and quilting with her co-workers. Cindy was loved by all her friends, co-workers, customers, and her family.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Bonnie Duell; brother, Bo Duell; and mother-in-law, Mary Pearson. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 35 years, Milton Cooksey; sons, Chris Ferguson, John Cooksey; grandson, Quinton; sister, Cathy Duell; brother-in-law, Rodger Cooksey and wife, Michelle; sister-in-law, Denice Pickering; and nine nieces, three nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries in Cynthia’s name.
