Curtis Pullen Moore was born in Taylor, Arkansas, December 31, 1933. He passed away at the age of 87, Monday, February 15, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Curtis was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Gladys Moore; parents, Curtis Carrington and Kate Theresa Pullen Moore; sister, Merry Ann Johnston; and brother, Gayle Moore. He is survived by his sister, Linda McKenzie; brother, Charles Moore; sons, Alan Moore and wife, Jonnene, and Dr. Robert Moore and wife, Kristi; and stepchildren, Brenda McDonald and husband, Kenny, John Brinkley and wife, Shonda, and Laura Leone. Pawpaw is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Edwards (Clint), Kristi Manilla (Marc), Holly Moore, Courtney Moore, Josh Moore, Dr. J. Nicholas McDonald Collin McDonald (Chandler), Zacharye Leone (Kristin), Jacob Brinkley, and James Brinkley and three great-grandchildren.
A 1962 graduate of Louisiana Tech University, Curtis worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Peat, Marwick and Mitchell, Shaw, Moore and Co. and Curtis Moore, CPA, from which he retired.
Curtis was a member of Martin McClanahan Lodge No. 384, F. & A. M., Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine, The Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana, and York Rite (PGHP).
When he was able, Curtis enjoyed flying and working in his shop, making furniture and toys for his grandchildren. He also loved taking cruises and traveling with his wife, Gladys, and having lunch with his High Twelve friends.
A private family service to honor Curtis will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital, 3100 Samford Ave., Shreveport, LA 71103.
