Funeral services for Cpl. LaToya Marie Dedmond, 43, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021. Burial will follow immediately at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating will be Captain Dean Register.
LaToya was born July 21, 1978 in Richland, Washington to Van Wayland Dedmond and Patricia Ann Player. She passed away Monday, November 1, 2021.
LaToya graduated from Benton High School in 1996. In 2005 she graduated from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office-Training Academy. After graduating from the training academy LaToya began working for the Caddo Parish Sheriff's office where she worked until 2012. In 2018 LaToya began working for the Desoto Parish Sheriff's Office. Anyone who knew LaToya knew that she was very friendly and would help anyone in need. She had a love for animals, especially white tigers, siberian huskies and shih tzus. LaToya also enjoyed playing video games and shopping. She will be truly missed by many.
She is survived by her parents; daughter, Isis Coleman; son, Coby Williams; and sisters, Laree Lowman, Lanae Edwards.
Honoring LaToya as pallbearers will be Derrick Adger, Jacques Burton, Timothy Johns, Dedric Williams and Jayson Williams. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Coby Williams and the Desoto Parish Sheriff's Office.
