Corine Mondello Ladatto

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Corine Mondello Ladatto, 89, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 425 McCormick Street, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Following the visitation will be a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation at the church will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022. Burial to follow the service at Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 US-80, Haughton, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Father Fidel Mondragon.

Corine was born November 3, 1932, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Joe Mondello and Vesta Alenzi Mondello, and passed away on September 9, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Corine graduated from Bossier High School and took classes at Centenary College of Louisiana. She married Donnie Ladatto, Sr., the love of her life, and traveled with him for 20 years during his United States Air Force assignments. They were married for almost 68 years.

Corine worked in the banking profession at Commercial National Bank in Shreveport and in Bossier City after Donnie retired from the Air Force in 1970 as well as at various banks when he was stationed around the country.

Corine loved gardening and taking care of her roses. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Corine's true passion was spending time with her family. Her home was filled with love and laughter. Our mom was the most giving, loving person and had a genuine love of everyone she met. Corine will be truly missed by all she left behind. Our hearts are broken, but to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

Corine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donnie Ladatto, Sr.; and brothers Vince Mondello, and Joe Mondello. She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Ladatto Claros and husband, Mario; son, Donnie Ladatto, Jr. and wife, Jackie; grandchildren, Alicia Claros, Paulina Claros, Jonathan Ladatto and wife, Lisa, Jessica Ladatto Gross and husband, Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Thomas Gabriel Ladatto, Courtney Faith Gross and Riley Hope Gross; sisters, Mary Niette, Annie Williams, Lena Calhoun and husband, Cecil; brother, Sam Mondello; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Arrington; and several nieces and nephews.

Honoring Corine as pallbearers will be Jonathan Ladatto, David Arrington, John Michael Arrington, and Mario Claros, Clay W. Mondello, and Aaron K. Franks.  

 The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers with SouthernCare Hospice for the kindness and compassion they gave to our mother.
