Cordelle Wesley "C.W." Jackson went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2022. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Central Assembly of God, 700 US-80, Haughton, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Pease Chapel Cemetery, 3384 Bellevue Road, Haughton, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Jeff Gravis and Reverend Ken Richmond.
C.W. was born October 11, 1926 in Bossier Parish, Louisiana to B.W. Jackson and Myrtle Jackson.
He loved the Lord with all his being and served him faithfully as layman and minister. His greatest joy was to sing with his quartet at nursing homes in the area. He was known to breakout with a song of praise at the slightest provocation. C.W. will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 66 years, Kathryn Cupit Jackson; brothers, L.L. "Sonny" Jackson, Kenneth Jackson and Andrew Jackson; sister, Doris Anderson; his closest friend, Homer Mann. Left to mourn and forever miss him are his wife, Louise Jackson; son, Ed Jackson and fiancée, Joyce; daughters, Opal Green and husband, Ray, Bobbie Gilmer, Charlotte Stephens and husband, Larry; sister, Mary Malone; brother, Danny Glenn; a quiver full of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring C.W. as pallbearers will be family members.
The family would like to give a loving thank you to the church family members who prayed, called, visited and supported his wife and family during their time of sorrow. A special thanks to Faye Mann, B.J. and Sandi Byley for countless acts of kindness.
