Logansport, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Connie Jean Walker Straus, 74, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Rose-Neath Chapel, Logansport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Walker and Rev. Ron Johnson. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Stanley, LA. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the funeral home. Connie was born April 28, 1944 and passed away March 9, 2019. She was proceeded in death by husband, David William "Butch" Straus; daughter, Rena' Straus; parents, Kinley Walker and Vernice Dawson Walker; sister, Geneva Walker Horn; and brothers, Kenneth Edgar (Sonny) Walker, Ray Kenneth Walker, and Marvin Glenn Walker. She is survived by son, David L. Straus and wife, Janie; sister, Mary Hutto; seven grandchildren, Sarah Bechtel and husband, John, Patrick McKim and wife, Michelle, Jessica Houston and husband, Dave, Elizabeth Walker and husband, Josh, Thomas Straus and wife, Sommer, Charlie Evans, and Jimmy Evans and wife, Tisa; 30 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Michelle Harville and husband, Greg, Stormy Harrison and husband, Wayne and other nieces and nephews; extended family, Nikki Sholar, Sarah Norwood, Linda Taylor and William Clark. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
