Cloe Teer Henington Rinehart

Cloe Teer Henington Rinehart, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, musician, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born on February 24, 1942, and grew up in Spring Ridge, Louisiana. Cloe graduated from Greenwood High School in 1960 and from Louisiana College in 1964.

Cloe dedicated much of her professional life to public service. She worked in the Caddo Parish Assessor’s Office and later served as the Executive Secretary of the Louisiana Assessors Retirement Fund.

Cloe was married to Charles Henington and later to Mack Rinehart. Her family was the center of her life, and she took great joy in her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Reginald and Bernice Ingram Teer and her siblings Nell Hall, Louise McClelland, Hardy Teer, and Gary Teer.

She is survived by her sons, Charles Henington (Angie) and David Henington (Dominic Salinas); Chuck Rinehart (Karen); her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Crystal Burch (Terry) and her children Mallory, Zach, and Emily; Cole Henington (Stacy), and their children Macy and Sam; Matthew; Abigail; Sandi Stephens (Brian), and their children Mattie and Remy; and Neil Rinehart (Beth) and their children Ben, Cole and Tucker. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Suzanne (Don) Baker; special nephews and nieces Scott Teer, Jeff Teer; Robin Thomas, Holly Wood special cousins Barbara Dean Edwards and Sarah Beth Dismukes; and dear friends Billy and Dinah Grisham.

Cloe was a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 60 years, serving both Greenwood Chapter No. 202 and Sunset Star Chapter No. 227. She was a Past Matron and was honored to serve as a Grand Representative to Arkansas and twice as Grand Organist in Louisiana.

Music was one of Cloe’s greatest gifts and passions. A beloved and gifted musician, she generously shared her talent with churches, retirement communities, and others throughout Louisiana. Her music brought comfort, joy, and fellowship to many people over the years. She also remained active in the local Louisiana College Alumni Association.

Cloe was a faithful member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and the Charlie Williams class. Her faith, music, warmth, and generous spirit touched the lives of countless people. She will be remembered for the love she gave her family, the friendships she cherished, and the many ways she used her gifts to serve others.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 28, 2026, at Broadmoor Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 9:30 AM followed by the service at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Forest Park East.

Serving as pallbearers Cole Henington, Matthew Henington, Jeff Teer, Scott Teer, Neil Rinehart, and Brian Stephens. Honorary Pallbearers Billy Grisham, Bryan Grisham, Gene Young, Kenneth Frazier, Charlie Williams.
