Clayton was born on February 18, 1944, to Percy Alexander and Cleo Wimberly Alexander in Ringgold, Louisiana, and passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Clayton was married to Donna Alexander for 25 years, sharing a bond built on love, laughter, and quiet companionship. Their time together was filled with simple joys, porch talks, shared passions, and a deep connection that anchored them through life’s ups and downs.

He worked for Gordon Inc. for over 25 years, where he was known for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. His commitment to his job reflected the kind of man he was: steady, hardworking, and proud of what he built.

Clayton had a deep love for football, especially the New Orleans Saints. Game days were sacred, filled with excitement and loyalty. Whether cheering from his living room or talking stats with friends, his enthusiasm was infectious.

He found peace in the outdoors, especially mowing the lawn, a task that gave him a sense of purpose and calm. But his favorite place was the porch, sitting beside Donna, watching hummingbirds’ flit through the air. Those quiet moments were some of his happiest.

Clayton cherished time with his many cowhand friends, whether out on the lake, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company. He brought that same warmth and camaraderie to his family, who were truly his world.

Known for his generous spirit, Clayton would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His kindness, loyalty, and love for others left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Cleo Alexander; son, Shane Alexander; brothers, Tommy Alexander, Percy “Bubba” Alexander, and Louis Alexander; sister, Irene Johnson; and son-in-law, David Payne.
