Clarence Henry Ostrander

Clarence Henry Ostrander, 79 years old, passed away on March 29, 2025 at The Guest House with his wife by his side. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Laura and John Ostrander.

Clarence attended Fair Park High School where he graduated and later served in the Army Reserves. He was a lifelong resident of Shreveport, Louisiana. Clarence worked hard at whatever type of work he did. In his lifetime, he worked as a heavy equipment operator, and then as a car salesman. He later began fence work where he owned and operated Shreve Fence Co. Inc.

Clarence was known by many for his kindness and generosity. He was always willing to help anyone even in his times of need.

Clarence was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He loved with his whole heart and loved to spend time with family during large family gatherings.

He is survived by his wife, Sydonna Faye Ostrander; children, Herb (Traci), Rick (Elizabeth), Maxine, Lisa (Tony), Michele, John (Sarah), and Madonna (Dustin); and his sisters, Linda (Gary), and Marie (Mark), along with numerous grandchildren and other family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Laura Ostrander, and fathers, John Ostrander and Charles Ashley; grandsons, Russell Lynn Hudson II, Jared Ryan Denler, and Richard Andrew Neely.

A ”Celebration of Clarence’s Life” will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at JD Camp Event Center, 6120 Booker Rd., Keithville, Louisiana 71047.
