Chris was born to Richard Goetz and Lorenza Mataya in Bossier City, Louisiana on April 4, 1989. On October 20, 2020, Chris lost his battle with mental illness in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
After graduating Benton High School, Chris earned a bachelors' degree at Centenary College in Science and Chemistry and worked for the state of Arkansas. Chris was exceptional. He was bright, kind, caring and loved every person he ever met with unmatched intensity. He was ever the philomath and relished a challenge. This led him to acquiring many hobbies ranging from woodworking, micro soldering, camping, gardening, hiking, cooking/ baking, board gaming, listening to vinyl, and coming up with terrible puns (just to name a few). Above all else, Chris enjoyed spending time with friends and family, hiking with his wife and dogs, and bragging about his niece and nephews.
Chris is preceded in death by his father, Richard Goetz; brothers, George "Bubby" and Randy Goetz; maternal grandparents, Richard and Monica Mataya and paternal grandparents, George and Alverta Goetz. He is survived by his adoring wife, Bryanna Oakley; mother, Lorenza Goetz; siblings, Monique Terrebonne and husband, Robert, Alexander Oliva, Desiree Ewald and husband, Craig, Cheryl Cooper, Beth Goetz, Val Goetz and wife, Peggy, and Richard Goetz and partner Ruthie; father-in law and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Danette Oakley; sister-in-law, Alexis Oakley; niece and nephews, Cassi Oakley and Conner and Coby Terrebonne; brother from another mother, Franklin Goad; two boisterous pups, Peppa and Luna and numerous other family and friends.
