Converse, Louisiana— A memorial service celebrating the life of Christopher Michael Friday, 53, will be held on April 25, 2026, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Converse, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary and burial service afterwards in the Oak Grove Cemetery. The message will be delivered by Bro. Dean Johnson assisted by Bro. Jimmy Price.
Christopher Michael Friday was born on June 5, 1972, in Many, Louisiana, to Debora Langston and Randy Friday. He passed away in his home on April 22, 2026. Chris was a devoted Christian man whose faith guided his life and actions. Aside from his relationship with Christ, his family was of the utmost priority to him. He was an active and faithful member of his church, serving as a deacon and touching the lives of many through his service and kindness.
Chris was well known in his community as a hardworking man who was always busy, which made sense with his motto of, “Gotta make hay while the sun shines.” He was the true definition of a servant’s heart—he was always willing to step in, help out, and be there for others, no matter the circumstance. He had a strong work ethic and took pride in every job he undertook, never afraid to work hard or try something new. He truly never met a stranger - his warm personality and genuine spirit made everyone feel welcome.
He found great joy in the simple things in life, especially hunting, working outdoors, and, most of all, spending time with his family, whom he loved deeply.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, L.M. and Etoyce Free.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Debora Langston and Randy Friday; his wife, Lisa Friday and their children, Sarah and Drake; his mother and father-in-law, Tommy and Beverly Raimond; his brother, Andy Friday and his wife Jennifer; his sister, Tina Friday and her husband Randy Merle Crawford; his nieces, Abby Friday and Destinee Castorena; his nephews, Ethan Friday and Daniel Crawford.
Honoring Chris as pallbearers are Drake Friday, Andy Friday, Casey Brown, Jeff Brown, Pat Lewing, Joseph Hinds, Brad Hinds, Walter Litton, and Matt Garcia. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Chris’s fellow deacons of Fellowship Baptist Church.
He leaves behind a legacy of faith, hard work, and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to either of two organizations very important to Chris: Toledo Bend Ministries or Beyond the Blind, an organization that provides hunting and outdoor experiences to children with disabilities and challenging circumstances. Donations to Toledo Bend Baptist Resort Ministry can be mailed to 3840 Carter’s Ferry Road, Zwolle, LA 71486. Donations to Beyond the Blind can be mailed to 2314 Commons Court Suite 6, Ruston, LA 71270. Donations can also be made online at www.beyondtheblind.org.
