Cheryl Joanne Pace

A celebration of life will be held for Cheryl Joanne Pace on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. Cheryl was born July 25, 1951 in Fort Sam Houston, Texas to Edward and Faye Lamb Pace. She passed away in her home in Bossier City, Louisiana on March 29, 2021 at the age of 69. Cheryl joined and served her country in the United States Air Force in 1971. A couple of years later, she started her family which included a daughter, Shannon, and son, Gary. She graduated from Western Oklahoma State College in 1978 with an associate degree in business. She later went on to work at Kansas City Railroad for 20 years before retiring in 2017. All that knew Cheryl knew she loved butterflies, pressing flowers, but especially, reading and writing. She often fell asleep with her current page-turner she was either reading or writing. She will be remembered as eccentric, but past her quirkiness, Cheryl was compassionate. She truly cared for the ones she loved and would do anything for them. She was loyal and generous to her family and friends. When Cheryl was in your corner, she stayed there, and you knew you could count on her. She would give it her all in all that she did, including letting her loved ones know how much she cared. Cheryl made sure they knew with every hug and each story she told. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed. Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by daughter, Shannon Arceneaux and husband, Ray; son, Gary Donovan and wife, Lisa; and sisters, Jeanne Pace and Tracey Pace.
