Funeral services honoring Cheryl "Cheri" Denise Holmes Falgout will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Arcadia. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Bro. Jeff Hoffman. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Arcadia.
Cheri was born October 7, 1960, in Ringgold, Louisiana. She passed away on September 3, 2021, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Cheri worked for the Bienville Parish DA's office as the office administrator. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all. Cheri was devoted to her family and had a great love for the Lord. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. Cheri lit up any room she walked into and was quick to lend an ear or a helping hand to a friend or anyone else in need. She was a kind and generous soul and was loved by everyone.
Cheri is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ann Jowers; stepfather, James E. Jowers; father, Clarence E. Holmes, Sr.; and grandparents, Ina Louise Rachal, Mary B. Holmes and Clarence F. Holmes.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years Danny Falgout; daughter Heather Goulart Taylor and husband, Beau; step children Tara Harris, Micah Falgout and wife Casey, Segrid Alford and husband Chris; grandchildren Bailee, Morgan, Gunner, Ellen, Andie, Jackson, Hollan, Easton, Britton, and Blake; great grandchildren Kaley, Kinsley, Stetson, Sloan, and Logan; and siblings Rene Holmes, Clarence Edward "Bubba" Holmes, Jr. and wife Debbie, Mary Holmes Artigue and husband Warren, Paula Holmes Martin and husband Jim, James Greggory "Greg" Jowers and wife Nicole; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
Honoring Cheri as pallbearers will be Beau Taylor, Greg Jowers, Micah Falgout, Eddie Holmes, Kenny Goulart, and Bubba Holmes. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Gunner Taylor, Jackson Harris, and Easton Alford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Arcadia Hurricane Relief Fund or First Baptist Church of Arcadia Vacation Bible School Fund.
