Charles â??Nubbinâ?? Smith

Funeral services honoring the life of Charles "Nubbin" Smith will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. Chucky Clark. A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday prior to service. Nubbin was born on November 5, 1935 in Converse, Louisiana to Elvin Marvin Smith and Mildred Rachel Webb Smith. He entered into eternal rest on February 14, 2021 in Converse, Louisiana. Nubbin is preceded by his parents, Elvin and Mildred Smith; his brother, Morris Estes; and his sister, Shirley Smith. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Arlene Smith of Converse, LA; his sons, Richard Smith and wife Delila of Converse, LA and Steve Smith of Ivey, GA; his step-sons, Tommy Dill and wife Pam of Hot Springs, AR and Don French and wife Angie of Rockwall, TX; his daughter, Belinda Scrantz and husband Kevin of Breaux Bridge, LA; his step-daughter, Donisa Page and husband Paul of Slidell, LA; his brother, Fred Smith and wife Loretta of Bossier City, LA; along with 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Honoring Nubbin as pallbearers will be Cody Smith, Justin Smith, Hunter Smith, Bruce Smith, Stanley Adams, and Bradley Adams. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Paul Wilson, Roy Smith, Ray Smith, and Wayne Carter.
