Charles Roy Smith

A graveside service for Charles Roy Smith, 75, will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Lee Jeter.

Charles was born on February 15, 1949 in Billings, Montana to Charles Russell Smith and Florence Pearl Fish Smith and passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He was a registered HAMS operator and a life member to VFW Post 5951-FRA Br. 098. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Navy from 1974-1994. He enjoyed going on trip adventures with his wife, Patti, and watching tv while crocheting blankets that were donated to various non profit organizations and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Russell Smith and Florence Pearl Fish Smith. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patti Lorrain Mims Smith of Shreveport, Louisiana and three children, Christopher Smith, Corey Smith and Catherine Smith and his grandchildren.

The family requests a special dress code for the graveside service of cotton t-shirts with no writing or logos and blue jeans with comfortable shoes.
