Charles Lewis Oxley, 81, of Bossier City, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on October 12, 2021.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm. on Friday, October 15, 2021, located at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Many, Louisiana. Funeral services honoring his life will follow visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Bro. Brian Gilcrease. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Many, Louisiana.
Charles was born on November 16, 1939, in Many, Louisiana to Rebert and Janie Oxley. Charles was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed reading in his free time and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Preceding Charles in death are his parents, Rebert and Janie Oxley and his brothers, Gordon Oxley and Ronnie Rebert Oxley. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Oxley of Bossier City, LA; daughters, Angela Oxley Barnes of Lake Charles, LA and Cindy Stevens of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Cory Moore, Casey Moore, Charlie Barnes, Matthew Stevens, Taylor Stevens, and Josh Hanson; great-grandchildren, Adalyn Moore, Paisley Moore, Presley Moore, and Bryce Moore.
Honoring Charles as pallbearers will be Cory Moore, Casey Moore, Charlie Barnes, Matthew Stevens, Taylor Stevens, and Josh Hanson. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Ricky Stevens.
