A graveside service for Charles Daniel McCall, 80, will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Rd., Bossier City, Louisiana.
Charles was born on June 11, 1945, to Kelly and Lois McCall in Mobile, Alabama, and passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, in Benton, Louisiana.
Charles proudly served in the United States Navy and later dedicated 26 years of his life to WKM Wellhead Systems, where he met Patricia, the woman who would become his wife and lifelong partner. Together, they shared a life built on hard work, quiet moments, and meaningful projects, including building a barn and remodeling their home with their own hands.
After his time at WKM, Charles continued serving his community through his work with the Louisiana Gaming Commission. He was known for his wit, his quiet strength, and his unwavering spirit, especially when it came to fighting for his health.
Charles had a deep love for carpentry. He found peace working with his hands, shaping wood into something lasting. Whether building or restoring, he approached each project with pride and a craftsman’s eye, creating spaces filled with care and purpose.
He also found joy in the simple things: sitting in his backyard watching cardinals’ flit through the trees, admiring deer and horses in the distance, and spending time with his loyal dogs. His love for horses ran deep, and his connection to nature was quiet but profound.
Charles leaves behind a legacy of resilience, love, and craftsmanship. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Lois McCall, and brother, James Kelly McCall. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia McCall; children, Scott McCall, Brett McCall, and wife, Brittni, and Alicia McCall; grandchildren, Megan Tidwell, Grace McCall, Emerson Lynn, Cameron Alyse, and Addison Danielle McCall, along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Honoring Charles as pallbearers will be Brett McCall, Scott McCall, Richard Stroud, Rick Stroud, and Timmy Owens. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ray Meyers, Jim Mouton, and Allen Joe Cobb.
