Charles Edward Elliott

A Visitation honoring the life of Charles Edward Elliott, 71, of Bossier City, Louisiana, will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Charles Elliott was born on July 4, 1952, to Dorothy and William Elliott in Newport News, Virginia, and passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Charles was a Veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country for 22 years. He served in combat during the Gulf War and traveled to many states and countries during his tour. While stationed abroad he met his beautiful wife Sun Im and married her On May 17, 1974. Together they raised their two sons wherever the Army took them until he retired in 1994 from Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. They then packed up and moved to Bossier City, Louisiana to be closer to family. He went back to work as a mechanic at Auto Pride on Barksdale Air Force Base and worked there until he finally retired in 2014 at the age of 62. He was an active member of the VFW and was proud to be a part of veterans serving veterans and their families.

Charles loved to read and play the guitar. He always enjoyed being around other people, especially his friends and family. He was a big fan of watching The Walking Dead, NASCAR, and the Buffalo Bills football team. Nothing made him happier than his wife’s cooking (especially Korean food) and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.  

Charles was proceeded in death by his parents, William Elliott and Dorothy Hampton Elliott and brother, James Elliott. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 49 years, Sun Im Elliott; sons, William Elliott and wife, Charlene and John Elliott and wife, Deana; granddaughter, Chloe; grandson, Jordan; sister, Billie Seidnitzer and husband, Jim; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
