Charles “Chuck” Aubrey King, 87, was born on May 14, 1938, to Fletcher and Estelle Hudson King in Glenwood, Alabama, and passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2026, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Chuck graduated from Elba High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force. After his service, he built a long and steady career with Walmart, working as a butcher for 20 years. He married the love of his life, Sue Rosson King, and together they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and family. Chuck enjoyed the simple things that made life good: fishing, relaxing at home, and spending time with the people he cared about most.

Chuck was a good man through and through, easygoing, gentle, and the kind of person who never met a stranger. He had a happy spirit, a welcoming smile, and a way of making everyone feel comfortable around him. He loved his family deeply, cherished being surrounded by them, and found joy in even the quiet moments, especially when he was watching TV. To know Chuck was to know kindness, warmth, and a steady presence that will be deeply missed.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Estelle Hudson King of Alabama; his brother, Morris King of Elba, AL; his daughter‑in‑law, Cheryl King of Bossier City, LA; and cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Sue King of Bossier City, LA; his son, Charles Gregory King of Bossier City, LA; his brother, George King and wife, Kathy, of Jack, AL; nieces, Romona of AL, Kelly of MO, and Lori of NE; nephews, Freddy, Mack, and Elliot of AL, and Brent of NE; along with extended family, including great‑nieces and great‑nephews.

Special thanks are due to his brother, George, and wife, Kathy King of Jack, AL, and to his niece, Kelly Vandiver, of Houston, MO.
