Charles Wilson Akins

Memorial services honoring the life of Charles "Charlie" Wilson Akins will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Charles was born on May 14, 1963 in Memphis, Tennessee to Woodrow and Margeurite Akins. He entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2020 in Mansfield, Louisiana. Charles was employed with SCI for fifteen years and Mansfield Nursing Center for six years. Preceding Charles in death are his parents, Woodrow and Margeurite Akins; brother, Mark Akins; sisters, Wilma Cornell, Mary Sue Simmons, Helen Joyner, and Debra Jo Spencer. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Flora Akins of Mansfield, LA; sons, Kobe Akins of Mansfield, LA, Roger Hamilton of Mansfield, LA, Michael Bates of Mansfield, LA, Rickey Hamilton of Springhill, LA, and Scott Hamilton of MS; daughters, Kayla Rollins of Canyon Lake, TX and Amandia Sinclair of Springhill, LA; sister, Margie Sanders (Terry) of Byhalia, MS; grandchildren, Destiny Beshea, Haylei Beshea, Kody Beshea, Kaiden Bates, Carson Bates, Oakley Bates, Kaitlyn Hamilton, and Skylar Hamilton; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
