CaSandra Gayle Person Woodall

CaSandra Gayle Person Woodall (DeSoto), age 74,was born in Ringgold, Louisiana on September 21,1948,and went to be with her Lord & Savior after a courageous battle with cancer on June 27,2023,in Minden, Louisiana.

Sandra graduated from Ringgold High School in 1967 and went to trade school. Sandra was a long-time employee of FedEx Corporation. She loved working for FedEx and made many life-long friends.  After retiring from FedEx in 2003, Sandra lovingly cared for her youngest daughter, Sheri, until her death in December 2003. Following some much-needed time off, Sandra began working at Richland State Bank in Minden where she loved meeting so many new people. After several years, she took on a new challenge at the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office 911 Division. Sandra served the Minden community as an assistant Deputy for 911 Dispatch.  She absolutely loved this job and gave it her all. Once again, she met many new friends and eventually became "mamaw" to many of the Webster Parish Deputies. After retiring once again, Sandra helped take care of her pride and joy, her great-granddaughter, Meredith. Mimi, as she was affectionately known to her grandchildren, loved sharing stories with Meredith, reading books, playing Barbies, and doing whatever Meredith wanted to do outside.  She loved watching her swim and play t-ball.  Meredith was the light of her life.

Traveling to Vegas and Gatlinburg with Billy are some of her best memories, but one highlight remains the hot air balloon ride he took her on. She and Billy enjoyed their adventures with Billy's brother, David, too. She said it was always interesting when David was with them. Some of her favorite things to do were Christmas shopping with Dana, sitting on her porch and watching the deer and rabbits, chatting with Patti at their weekly dinners, and spending time with family.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Casciel Person, her youngest daughter, Sheri Michelle Woodall, her brother, Rick Person, and sister-in-law, Debbie Woodall Crowder. She is survived by her beloved partner of almost 24 years, Billy DeSoto, her cherished daughters, Shani Woodall Lee and fiancé Chris Forehand and Sheli Woodall Coyle and husband Doug, her precious grandchildren, Shelbi Kathryn Lee (Zack), Payton Brooke Lee, Luke Anderson Coyle, Logan Reese Coyle, and Landon Cox Coyle, and Logan’s precious girlfriend, Rylie Jones, and one very special, "Mimi's girl", great-granddaughter, Meredith Brooke Laird.
