Carolyn Williamson Bahm was born on October 20, 1932, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2022. After graduation from Byrd High School in 1950, Carolyn attended Southern State College, Centenary College and graduated from Northwestern State University in 1954. Carolyn married the love of her life, Jimmy C. Bahm in 1955. They joined Summer Grove United Methodist Church and were active members. Carolyn taught Sunday School and served as the church secretary until her retirement. As a lifetime member of the United Methodist Women, Carolyn volunteered for many years with the registration of their annual conference. Carolyn is survived by her son, Jim C. Bahm, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Dot Hamilton, and Marilyn Miller and husband, Bob; special cousins, Grace Taliaferro and Pat Lyons; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn never missed a special occasion or milestone in the lives of family and friends; she lovingly remembered each with cards, making us all feel special. Preceding Carolyn in death were her husband, Jimmy Bahm; her mother, Elizabeth Armstrong Williamson; her father, H. Grady Williamson; Jimmy's parents, Placide and Electa Beth Bahm; sister-in-law, Sue Cutrer; brothers-in-law, Fred Cutrer and Charles Hamilton; and nephews, Ronnie Cutrer, Audie Cutrer and Bill Hamilton. Funeral services will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the start of the service. Interment and a graveside service will take place on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave. in Shreveport. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to loving friends who cared for Carolyn in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deaf Ministry at Noel Memorial United Methodist Church in her memory. Honoring Carolyn as pallbearers will be Will Moore, Kenny Miller, Greg Miller, David Hamilton, Henry Dodd, Dan Scurlock, and Ted Scurlock.
