Carolyn Clark Whittington

Carolyn Clark Whittington, 86, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026. She was born on June 12, 1939, to Lee J. Clark and Faye Reeves Clark in Monroe, Louisiana.

Carolyn retired after a long and dedicated career with the Bossier Parish Clerk of Court’s Office. She was known for her strong spirit, her fierce love for her family, and her generous heart. She truly was the best “boy mom” ever, and she embraced that role with pride and joy.

Carolyn found joy in the simple things, shopping, tending to her garden, and playing Rummikub with her “Golden Girls” friends at Cypress Point Nursing Home. She was deeply loyal; if you were lucky enough to call her a friend, you knew she would stand by you through thick and thin. Her pets were her constant companions throughout her life, and she missed them dearly when she could no longer have them by her side.

Carolyn will be remembered for her warmth, infectious laughter, and the unwavering love she shared with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Lee Clark, and her beloved husband, Ross Whittington.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Clark Whittington, Greg Whittington and wife, Tracy, and Doug Whittington and wife, Rose; her cherished grandchildren, David Whittington and wife, Kayla, Andrea Whittington, Brian Whittington, Morgan Goodwin and husband, Jake, Macie Smith, and Alex Whittington; and her adored great-grandchildren, Angelina Whittington, Nolan Whittington, Tristan Whittington, Tripp Goodwin, and Turner Goodwin. Carolyn is also survived by her sister, Jeanene Clark and husband, Tom, and her brother, Jeff Clark and wife Danette, along with many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Clark, Ryan Clark, Melissa Morton, Jarrod Clark, Dusty Rhodes, and Randy Rhodes.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Cypress Point Nursing Home, Bristol Hospice, and especially to Shunnica Thomas for the exceptional love and care they gave to Carolyn.

Memorials may be made in Carolyn’s honor to Benton Methodist Church, 4615 Palmetto Rd., Benton, Louisiana, or Ninna’s Road to Rescue, www.roadtorescuela.org, both causes close to her heart.

A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Officiating the service will be Pastor Brad Franklin.
