Carolyn Ann Permenter

Funeral services will be held honoring the life of Carolyn Ann Permenter, Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Grand Cane Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Scott officiating. Carolyn was born in Dallas, Texas on October 8, 1937 and went to be with her Lord on October 17, 2019 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a longtime pianist and organist for the Grand Cane Baptist Church as well as for the First Methodist Church of Grand Cane. She loved cooking, playing bridge, attending Bible studies and sharing her love for the Lord with her children and all of those around her. She loved her friends and was lovingly known as the "Jelly Lady" at local community events. But her greatest enjoyment of life was time spent in her kitchen and with her four children and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Inez Carroll and the father of her children H.C. (Bud) Permenter. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Dave Permenter and wife Tammy, daughters, Vicky Yeglic and husband Lenny, Chris Plymale and husband Steve and Cathy Neil and husband Mike. Grandchildren include Rickye Welton, Jr. and wife Amy, Misty Yeglic-Broughton, Brittani Neil, Ashley Permenter, Cole Plymale, Lacey Anthony and husband Thomas, and Reagan Plymale. Great-Grandchildren are Garrett Welton, Gage Welton, Mackenzie Broughton, Trace Carter, Ashton Permenter, Madison Broughton, Connor Anthony and Reid Anthony. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Mansfield Nursing Center for the love and care given to their mother over the past years of her declining health.
