Carolyn was born on July 6, 1941, in Logansport, Louisiana to Johnny and Gertie Johnson and passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Bossier City.
Carolyn was a resident of Bossier City. She worked for many years as an executive assistant at TG&Y and Arkla, where she was known for her dedication and professionalism.
Carolyn enjoyed watching NASCAR races, whether on television or in person. She loved spending time with family and friends, bowling, playing bingo, and participating in activities at The Blake. An avid gardener, Carolyn had a special passion for flowers and ornamental plants. She also cherished making Christmas candy and holiday treats with family and friends and took great joy in decorating for the holidays.
A faithful member of her church, Carolyn served in the nursery and was actively involved in many church activities throughout the years. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend whose kindness, warmth, and generous spirit touched the lives of many.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Billy Don. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Michael Magee and wife, Deanna; brother, Darrell Johnson and wife, Debbie; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
Honoring Carolyn as pallbearers will be Anthony Cates, David Million II, Ernest Mitchell, Phillip Magill, Joe West, and Jeff Loftin.
The family would like to express special thanks to Bristol Hospice and The Blake and their staffs for the care and compassion given to Carolyn. A special thanks to Vanessa Million for the love and care she provided Carolyn during the last seven years.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Barron Road Baptist Church, 1102 Barron Rd., Keithville, LA 71047 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or your church or the charity of your choice.
Carolyn will be terribly missed, but we will always love her and cherish her memory forever.
