A visitation for Carolyn Lee Turney, 80, will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana.
Carolyn was born on April 16, 1942 to Edward and Edna Rodkey in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Carolyn was a resident of Shreveport after moving from North Tonawanda, New York in the 70’s. She was married to Preston E. Turney for 56 years. She loved the outdoors and working in the yard. She was employed at various times throughout her life, but her greatest passion was raising her family and spending time with the ones she loved; her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her fur babies. She was a very special, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed but will live on in our heart forever!
Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Lisa Johnson and husband, Randy; son, Stephen Turney; grandchildren, James “Michael” Johnson, Sarah Lynn Marie Middleton and husband, Bobby, Kristin Turney and fiancé, Will Wright; great-grandchildren, Brylie Shea Middleton, Scarlett Rayn Johnson, Jessie Amberlyn Tori Johnson, Bobby David Middleton IV, and Marshall Alexander Middleton.
The family would like to express special thanks to the Guest House of West Monroe for the wonderful care and love they gave to our mom.
