Carolyn Ann Butscher

Funeral services for Carolyn Ann Tubbs Butscher, 73, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father John Paul officiating. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Carolyn was born February 21, 1945 in Bienville, LA and went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. She was a teacher for the hearing impaired. She volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul for over 10 years. She was a talented painter and seamstress. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Earl Woodrow Tubbs; mother, NovaD Elizie Culver; and sister, Bernice Forrest. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Albert Charles Butscher; daughters, Mary Grace Butscher McCoy and Cynthia Ann Butscher Thornton; grandchildren, Shelby Kymbel McCoy, Ian Charles Thornton, and Andrew Wayne Thornton; and brothers, Edwin Earl Tubbs and Jerry Lee Tubbs. Honoring Carolyn as pallbearers will be Zach Bailey, Edwin Tubbs, Jerry Tubbs, Shelby McCoy, Ian Thornton, and Robert Butscher. The family would like to give a special thanks to SouthernCare Hospice, especially Anita, Jennifer, Kristen, and Dorothy.
